SAI Aerospace Training Ltd is the only CAA Approved Part 147 Training Provider based in Scotland offering Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Training B1.1 and B2 approved courses
This is a 2 year on site, instructor led theoretical, practical and placement training program.
This 2-year program will give you all the theoretical and practical knowledge you need in order to give you a head start in your Aviation / Aerospace industry career.
Typically, an aspiring engineer will require 5 years of on-the-job experience in a live maintenance environment before applying for your UK CAA Part-66 licence.
However, with the certificate you receive upon completion of this course, you can reduce that requirement to 2 years.
All approved training will be delivered on-site here in Ayrshire by approved instructors with industry experience.
Practical training and competency verification will be conducted in our UK CAA Part 147 approved hangar and workshops including on our British Aerospace Jetstream 32 and a Scottish Aviation Bulldog training aircraft
Your approved training will also include a placement of 300 hours of Aircraft Maintenance Environment Training (AMET) in a live Part-145 Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) organisation.
Learning the critical compliance requirements of a safe, competent role in aviation and aerospace
Build a competency baseline to support accelerated learning in the workplace
Proactively reduce the quality, schedule or financial costs of non-conformances in a live environment
Our training facilities provide a hands-on environment mirroring industry MRO operations where you can build your skills, knowledge and competency of the skills needed in aircraft maintenance practices.
This will develop essential practical skills, problem solving skills, communication skills and critical attention to detail on interpretation of relevant technical documentation.
